Rotary Club of Tirupur South started by Rotary Club of Tirupur on 2nd February 1980. The charter has been received from Rotary International on 18.04.1980. Rtn. Dr. Nicoldas is the Charter President of our Club and Rtn. P.M Cherian is the Charter Secretary. The Club was started by 20 Members. On that same year we have purchased Land near Nataraj Theatre cost of Rs. 25,000/-. In 1983 we have planned to build the Rotary Hall and Foundation Stone Laid by beloved Rtn. PDG. PHF. G. Varadharaj M.P. Rotary Hall Project was done by Fund Raising Programme and collected Rs. 1.00 Lakhs. On the Same Year we started our Rotary Hall First Block was opened by Rtn. PDG. PHF. G. Varadharaj M.P on 27.05.1985. The Kadarpet municipal Elementary School adopted by us. Regularly we give School Uniforms & Note Books to the school Students Still now. In 20.05.1996 our South Rotary Community Hall was opened by Rtn. PDG. PHF. S. Bangaru. On 02.06.1997 our South Rotary Community Kitchen Block was opened by District Collector Sri. G. Santhanam IAS and by Rtn. PDG.S. L. Vishnudas. On 16.02.1998 our South Rotary Community Dinning Hall was opened by Rtn. PDG. PHF. Pradap Gokuldas. On 28.08.2000 our South Rotary Community Marriage Hall was opened by Rtn. PDG. MPHF. Dr. A. Muruganathan. In 1999-2000 our Mega Project of South Rotary Electrical Crematorium Layed Stone by On 2002 we have built a Oldage home in Tirupur Anbu Illam opened by our b eloved governor Rtn. PHF.K.C.Philip. On the same year we have conducted hundreds of RYLA programmes to the school students in and around of Tirupur. We have Renovated Nanjappa Boys Hr.Sec.School at the cost of Rs. 25.00 Lakhs. The Tirupur South Rotary Primary & Nursery School projects planned on the same year. For that purpose conducted fund raising programme and collected Rs. 1.00 Lakhs. Ambulance was donated to our south rotary electrical crematorium at cost of Rs. 16.00 Lakhs. On 2003 we have built a public toilet to the kannakkam palayam village at cost of Rs. 1.00 Lakhs. On the same year we conducted Free Maxillo Facial, Hand Plastic Surgery Camp jointly with Interplast from German doctors Team. Free Plastic surgery treatment was given to More than 500 peoples at cost of Rs. 3.00 Crores Medical Worth. On 2005 we started Tirupur South Rotary Primary & Nursery School 1st 5 Class Rooms was opened by Rtn. MPHF.L. Narayanasamy. On July 2005 Tirupur South Rotary Primary & Nursery School Second 5 Class Rooms was opened by beloved governor Rtn. PHF. K.S.Pillai. Air-conditioned Mortuary Room was opened by our beloved governor Rtn. PHF. K.S.Pillai. The project cost of Rs. 20.00 Lakhs. On 17.10.05 at Perumanallur we started Free Women’s Sewing Machine Vocational Training Centre was opened by Rtn. PHF.Na. Madhavan,R.I. Dist Director-Vocational at cost of Rs. Rs.59,375/- Several Medical Camps and school projects was done. Our Latest project is Tirupur South Rotary Community hall in Seyur which has been opened by Rtn. MPHF. V. Vasanth Kumar. The Cost of the Project is Rs. 8.00 Lakhs. On 21.07.2007, We have donated a Cold Storage Room to Tirupur South Uzhavar Sandhai for store the vegetables. The Value of the Project is Rs. 2,50,000/- On 08.12.2012, we have organized Inauguration of our club Mega Project Built at Cost of Rs. 20.00 Lakhs Public Waiting Hall, Dinning Room & Two Wheeler Parking at Tirupur District Govt. Head Quarters Hospital. Hon. MSM Anandhan, Minister for Hindu Religious & Charitable Endowments, Tamilnadu was the Chief Guest and inaugurated Public Waiting Hall. Lightning Lamp by our DG Rtn. MD. T. Somasekaran.. In the presence of Thiru. K. Govindaraj IAS, Tirupur District, Thiru. C. Sivasamy MP, Tirupur District, Thiru. K. Thangavelu MLA, Tirupur South, Dr. G. Thirumalaisamy, Jt. Director-Welfare, Tirupur Dist., Worshipful Tirupur Mayor Mrs. A. Visalakshi inaugurated the Public Dinning Room, Worshipful Tirupur Deputy Mayor Thiru. S.
